Workshop Build & Assembly Assistant
Ocean Roads is looking for a motivated and hands-on Workshop Build & Assembly Assistant to join our team on a casual basis, with the opportunity for the right person to progress into a full-time role or Apprenticeship.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality, and has an interest in 4x4s, fabrication, off-road products, and workshop-built gear. You’ll be part of a small team helping turn parts and components into premium finished products used in the off-road industry.
The role includes picking and staging parts, assembling products, preparing components for welding, parts pressing, sanding and general fabricated part preparation, and maintaining a clean and organised workshop. We’re looking for someone reliable, willing to learn, and ready to contribute in a practical workshop environment.`
We’re not necessarily looking for the most experienced applicant or the person with the best résumé. We’re looking for someone who is practical, hands-on and able to think logically through a task. Someone who is willing to learn new skills, improve the skills they already have, take direction and continually build their knowledge and understanding.
A good attitude, reliability, practical ability and a willingness to learn will matter more to us than having the perfect background on paper.
