Job Application Form

1. Submit your application – Send through your details, work history and any relevant experience.
2. Initial review – We’ll review applications and shortlist candidates who look like a good fit for the role and our workshop.
3. Quick phone chat – Shortlisted applicants will have a brief phone conversation to discuss the role, availability and experience.
4. Workshop interview – Suitable candidates will be invited to Ocean Roads for an informal interview and a look around the workshop.
5. Practical assessment – We may ask you to complete a short hands-on task so we can see how you approach practical work, tools and instructions.
6. Offer & start – If it’s a good fit on both sides, we’ll discuss the casual position, expected hours and potential pathway to full-time.
   
   

We’re not necessarily looking for the most experienced applicant or the person with the best résumé. We’re looking for someone who is practical, hands-on and able to think logically through a task. Someone who is willing to learn new skills, improve the skills they already have, take direction and continually build their knowledge and understanding.

A good attitude, reliability, practical ability and a willingness to learn will matter more to us than having the perfect background on paper.
